Huge Snow Storm!

As I am writing this it is snowing outside! :)

This past weekend we got a huge snow storm that came through. It dumped a lot of snow, close to a foot. The snow flakes were really large and beautiful to see. I thought you would enjoy seeing some pictures and a video that we took. It was almost completely melted when this new snow storm came in today. It is snowing much lighter today and the flakes are much smaller. I often feel as though I am living in a post card. Everything is so beautiful. I told Paul that when I am in the house and it's snowing outside I feel as though I am in a snow globe. Well I hope you enjoy!!!

I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm glad you are enjoying the snow. For quite a long time I enjoyed the snow, and didn't mind the extra work that it brings. Over time though I grew weary of all of the snow brushing and ice clearing from the car, plus the snow shoveling and de-icer for walks. Some people I know never had a problem with that -- more power to them! By the way, Paul, you might want to talk with people who've lived in the area for a while regarding any precautions to take for snow build-up and/or "ice dams" on the roof and eaves. Some houses in Cleveland seemed to have more trouble with that than others. On the brighter side (literally), don't Christmas lights look extra magical when they are surrounded by snow?

Wow! That is a lot of snow. Sara said that she had snow yesterday. I told her to take pictures and this morning she forgot. Maybe tomorrow morning. What a new experience for you guys!

I think that snow storm was the same one that dropped like 4 inches of snow on us a couple days ago. The snow that I forgot take pictures of. In my three years here in Iowa I have not yet had the experience of shoveling snow because I've lived in Apartment buildings where they do that for you. But I do love the snow. Except for having to drive in it. But I agree that it is beautiful to see. You can check out my blog soon for my pictures of the snow around our apartment.
