Jeremiah got to meet Santa for the first time. He was not scared and never cried. While we were in line to meet Santa he gave me, his mommy, my Christmas gift. He look right at me and said "mamamama mama". It was music to my ears. Except that I didn't hear it! Only Paul and his mom heard it. But that was not the end...I got to hear it another time while there and it truly melted my heart.

Jeremiah's Dedication

On December 14th Paul and I had Jeremiah dedicated to the Lord. Paul and I were going back and forth about when we should have him dedicated because we really wanted our family to be here. It just seemed impossible to get both sides of the family here at the same time. So we had him dedicated with no other family here and recorded it for all to see. The grandparents received a copy of the video for Christmas. Which they have all seen and enjoyed. So I thought I would share it with the rest of you. The pastor that did the dedication is our senior pastor at our church. The person who recorded it for us is a wonderful friend that we have made here. Thank you Brad for recording the video for us. Sorry about the quality I had to compress it to fit onto the blog so some of the quality is lost. Enjoy!

Jeremiah Turns 5 Months Old
Our Jeremiah is such a young man! He has grown and changed a lot in this past month. He is really teething now and we are singing... "all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth". But so far there is nothing there. He loves standing, pulling himself up and walking (while we hold his hands for balance).
He loves eating oatmeal cereal (banana flavor). He just ate carrots yesterday for the first time (video soon to follow) and did pretty well for the first time. He really is such a good little eater. He's talking a lot more in his baby language. Paul is really looking forward to hearing him say "Dada". He sticks his tongue out all the time. He discovered his feet a long time ago but is now really grabbing them with meaning. He loves his walker and is now going forward in it. He squeals in delight when he is in it. He also squeals with frustration when he runs into a wall and cannot go forward anymore.
He is working hard on crawling, he can get his butt up in the air and knees under him and he can do a push up lifting his chest really high in the air, but he cannot do both of those at the same time...yet. He does scoot around a little and then gets frustrated with the whole thing and then gets cranky. Sometimes he does not like sitting in my lap. He will straighten his legs to slide off my lap, roll over, and try to get away but once he gets on his tummy he doesn't know what to do. It's really fun to watch him develop.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!
This weekend Paul Put up our Christmas lights. We also got our tree and just completed decorating it. Now it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I am enjoying seeing Christmas through Jeremiah's eyes. He loves looking at the tree and all the lights. A lot of our neighbors have really decorated their houses really nicely. It is so much fun to go around the neighborhood and see all the pretty houses. I love how much everyone here gets into the Christmas Holiday. Anyway I thought you would like to see our house and tree all decorated. I also hope that this has brought you all some holiday cheer. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
Blessings,

Huge Snow Storm!
As I am writing this it is snowing outside! :)
This past weekend we got a huge snow storm that came through. It dumped a lot of snow, close to a foot. The snow flakes were really large and beautiful to see. I thought you would enjoy seeing some pictures and a video that we took. It was almost completely melted when this new snow storm came in today. It is snowing much lighter today and the flakes are much smaller. I often feel as though I am living in a post card. Everything is so beautiful. I told Paul that when I am in the house and it's snowing outside I feel as though I am in a snow globe. Well I hope you enjoy!!!

First Thanksgiving!
This was Jeremiah's first Thanksgiving and our first Thanksgiving in our new house. For Thanksgiving Grammy Linda came from Cali. to visit for a week. The two of us made Thanksgiving dinner together while Paul and Jeremiah had male bonding time watching football. Even though there was only three of us eating the food, we prepared a huge feast. I got to learn a lot about making a turkey (I have only made a turkey one other time!) which was very educational and now expected from Paul for every Thanksgiving. :) It was nice having our first Holiday in our new house and to see Jeremiah's face while watching us eat. He is so interested in food! He devoured his Thanksgiving meal of banana rice cereal, which he really enjoys.
Jeremiah got an early Christmas present from his Grammy, which he loves. She got him a walker. You should see him in it! I know it seems early for a walker but you should see how much he loves it. His feet barely touch the ground even on the lowest height setting. He pushes himself around using the walking motion on his tip toes. It is so cute. He loves the little "DJ" play system it came with and has so much fun making it play all kinds of sounds. He laughs and is so excited when we put him in it. I am glad that Grammy got to see Jeremiah enjoying his present in person instead of on the web cam.
