They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here you go:
We wanted to have our children pretty close together so we haven't been doing anything to prevent another pregnancy. So we weren't surprised to discover that I was late for my period this month. When I realized I was five days late, I took a pregnancy test, and well you can see the result. We went to the doctor today and it was confirmed. My new due date is September 25th, and I'm 5 weeks pregnant. We're excited that our children will only be 14 months apart in age. They should be close enough in age that they'll be into a lot of the same kinds of things growing up. We'll do our best to balance emphasizing their individual interests with their relationship as siblings. Anyway, that's the big news for now and explains why I've been so very tired the last few weeks! I'll keep the blog updated with the news as Baby Laufer II (well, for us) continues to grow.
We're so thankful to be blessed by God with another child so soon! However, we ask that you'd hold us up in your prayers for another healthy child and an uncomplicated pregnancy.

Congratulations!! Martin and Bea must be so excited about being grandparents again after waiting so long to be grandparents in the first place. I pray that it will be a healthy pregnancy for you. My goodness. A person at work just announced that he is going to be a Daddy. I am getting surrounded by babies it seems.
http://behindmyreddoor.blogspot.com/ This is the link to a blogger buddy of mine. She has a widget from babystology showing how far along her grandbaby is in the pregancy. It looks really cool. You might want to check it out and put it on your blog too. Just a thought

Blessing upon Blessing!
It is so wonderful to watch as our God grows and multiplies your family and I am blessed to be along for the journey! Jeremiah is going to love his little brother or sister (can't wait to hear which if you two share with us). My prayers are for your health Elizabeth and that the baby will come forth 'well able'. May the joy of the Lord surround and envelop each of you and I ask His divine provision and preparation of you and Paul as He adds to your family. Love Grammy Linda
WOW! It will be interesting to see how it works to have the two quite close in age. Even more interesting will be to see how it works with cousins -- on one side there is one wedged in between your two, and on the other side you have twins wedged in between! Blessings to all involved!
