Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!

Today was Jeremiah's first Halloween and our first Halloween in our new house. We were excited to see all the kids in our neighborhood all dressed up and see Jeremiah in his costume. We bought Jeremiah's costume in late August, to beat the rush. We figured that in late October the weather would be cold and most likely snowy. Well this Halloween was the first time in a number of years that it did not snow on Halloween. In fact it was down right hot!Jeremiah is a very hot blooded boy and the costume was just too hot for him. Also, we did not know that he would grow so big and be in the 95% for height. So the costume was a little small. We had him in his costume long enough to take some pictures, show are neighbors, and to have a video chat with Grammy, Uncle Scott, Auntie Christine, and cousins Avery, & Mia.

Here is what Avery & Mia looked like for Halloween. Mia was a chili pepper and Avery was a sunflower.

Here are some more pictures from Jeremiah's first Halloween. Enjoy!

Here are the pumpkins that Grandpa Laufer and Daddie carved! They didn't seem excited about doing them at first, but then had a lot of fun once they started.

P.S. Jeremiah was not really afraid of the spider. He was already crying from being too hot and I was trying to show him the spider when daddie took the picture. Makes for a great picture though.

Jeremiah Holds Bottle By Himself

Yesterday Jeremiah held the bottle for the first time. This may be late compared to other babies because he does not get the bottle with mommie's milk in it very often. For some reason he doesn't think I have as much milk as I used to, so he is having a more difficult time nursing, even though I have plenty of milk. So, recently I have been pumping a little bit more and giving him the bottle. Here he is holding the bottle for the first time.

He figured it out by himself, so I grabbed the camera and took some pictures. Later that night I gave him another bottle and daddie got it on video. Hope you enjoy!!

Jeremiah is 3 Months Old

Today Jeremiah is 3 months old! We just cannot believe how fast the time has gone. He has grown and changed so much this past month. He is so alert and aware of his surroundings. He is almost sitting up completely by himself. He sits there for about 20 seconds balancing and then falls. He has the strength but has not got the whole balance thing down yet.

He loves staring at Shy-Ann our dog, watching daddie and mommie cook, watching football with daddie, going to get the mail with mommie, giving open mouthed kisses, reading books, and watching daddie come home from work. It's fun to watch him grow, learn, and explore.

Here he is just after rolling over. He is being so goofy with me I just had to get a picture. We are loving seeing all his changes from last month to this month. We know he is only three months old, but he is such a "young man".

Things that Jeremiah is looking forward to in the near future...his first day in the snow, Grandma and Grandpa coming to visit, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Grammy coming for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Going to Cali for his first Christmas, New Years, growing, learning and exploring!

Go Broncos!

Today Jeremiah wore his Denver Broncos warm-up outfit to church, which prompted a lot of "Way to go!"s and "Go Broncos!" comments. One kind gentleman said, "You're Broncos fans? Want two tickets to today's game?" Of course we did! Paul has never been to a professional football game, despite having played four years in high school. The Raders and Rams left LA before his dad thought he was old enough to deal with the rough crowds there, so he never went to a game. Martin has said, "There was more action in the stands in those games than on the field."

So today was Jeremiah and Paul's first professional football game! And the Broncos came through to win against the Bucks 16-13. It was a close game and the weather kept things interesting by thoroughly soaking us during the 3rd quarter. However, we had been warned about the possibility of isolated afternoon storms so we were prepared with our rain gear. And unlike the rough crowds at the games in LA, the fans and people at the stadium today were kind, but very excited and enthusiastic about their team. Totally different than any description I've heard of a Raider's game experience. This is the kind of event I would definitely bring my kids to again.

God bless you all!

Fall is in the air

Here in Colorado the end of September and beginning of October mark the time of year that the trees show their fall colors. Today we took Jeremiah on a trip to see the famous "Colorado Gold" Aspen trees. Ideally we should have went last weekend when the trees were in full color, but there were still plenty of leaves on the trees today.

In fact, being a week late had one real advantage! We were able to have a photo session with Jeremiah on a carpet of fallen leaves.

Jeremiah loved looking at the trees and the leaves. For some reason he was absolutely
fascinated by the pine trees. We loved seeing the Aspen leaves dancing in the breeze and tumbling as the wind carried them off the treetops to the forest floor.

We also ran into some weather. As we were finishing up Jeremiah's photo shoot we were hit with a surprise hail storm. We quickly packed up the camera and our son and ran back to the truck.

Here are a few more of the many pictures we took today:
