First Thanksgiving!

This was Jeremiah's first Thanksgiving and our first Thanksgiving in our new house. For Thanksgiving Grammy Linda came from Cali. to visit for a week. The two of us made Thanksgiving dinner together while Paul and Jeremiah had male bonding time watching football. Even though there was only three of us eating the food, we prepared a huge feast. I got to learn a lot about making a turkey (I have only made a turkey one other time!) which was very educational and now expected from Paul for every Thanksgiving. :) It was nice having our first Holiday in our new house and to see Jeremiah's face while watching us eat. He is so interested in food! He devoured his Thanksgiving meal of banana rice cereal, which he really enjoys.

Jeremiah got an early Christmas present from his Grammy, which he loves. She got him a walker. You should see him in it! I know it seems early for a walker but you should see how much he loves it. His feet barely touch the ground even on the lowest height setting. He pushes himself around using the walking motion on his tip toes. It is so cute. He loves the little "DJ" play system it came with and has so much fun making it play all kinds of sounds. He laughs and is so excited when we put him in it. I am glad that Grammy got to see Jeremiah enjoying his present in person instead of on the web cam.

Jeremiah and His Walker

Here is Jeremiah in his new walker! He was really tired and ready for his nap so he is not that animated. Usually he is playing like crazy with all the sounds it can make!

First Snow

Today we had our first snow of the season. It came rather late this year. Normally we have already had our first snow by October 19th. The latest that they have on record is November 23rd. Paul and I woke up to see it snowing and our neighborhood covered in about 3 inches of snow. We took Jeremiah outside to see the snow for the first time as well as our dog Shy-Ann. Jeremiah did not have a big reaction to the snow. Shy-Ann however had a lot of fun in the snow. She kept trotting around the yard and did not want to come inside. Most of the snow has already melted except in our front yard because we have a north facing driveway, but our backyard is completely melted already. Here are some pictures from our first time in the snow. Enjoy!

Jeremiah's first solid food

Jeremiah turns 4 months old

Today Jeremiah had his 4 month checkup and immunizations. He has grown a lot over the past 2 months. He now weighs 15lbs 2.5oz and measures 25.25" long. He handled the shots like the little champion that he is. The doctor examined him and, to our surprise, told us that Jeremiah is about 2 months ahead in both physical and mental development. Mentally, he cited Jeremiah's ability to say "baa" and "moo", recognize strangers (Jeremiah shied away from the doctor, and has also started crying when being handed to friends), and recognize and grasp his favorite toys. Physically he cited Jeremiah's ability to sit up, support his full weight while standing, lock his knees, and try to walk while standing (he still needs us to help him balance, of course). Since Jeremiah is our first we took all these things for granted, but the doctor warned us that we have a "bright one" on our hands! We're such proud parents, can't you tell? Here are some pictures of our 4 month old prodigy :)

Butterflies and Giggles

For Halloween we took Jeremiah to the Butterfly Pavilion, where they have butterflies from all over the world flying all around you. Sometimes they will even land on you. We got some video of Jeremiah looking at the butterflies.

We also got some video of Jeremiah laughing and giggling and thought we would share it with everyone. Hope that you like the video.
