Elijah's 8 Months Update

Loves being outside!

Elijah is growing up right before our eyes. We cannot believe it! He is scooting all over the place now. He gets up on his knees in the crawl position and rocks back and forth. He has all the right motion but has not put it all together yet. It will not be long before he is really crawling. He thinks any toy on the floor is there for him and he goes right for it (which doesn't always make his siblings to happy). He has already gotten into our DVDs and started teething on the DVD cases.
Can you tell I have green eyes (all three kids have different color eyes) and I am getting some hair!
He is teething like crazy but he still does not have any teeth yet. You can feel them right underneath the gums though. Everything is going into the mouth. We are really having to watch the toys that Rachel and JP leave on the floor. He can drink out of a straw now and wants to drink out of whatever cup his siblings are drinking out of. He's still a great eater and trembles for his dinner. He is starting to talk now and loves to say "dada" all the time. He has said "mama" but only once or twice. I know it will not be long before I am hearing "mama" all the time.

Love the expression on his face in this one!

Side profile!

Elijah loves to be outside playing. He gets such a big grin when we go for a walk. He loves to see all the trees and feel the wind on his face. He is not a big fan of the swing yet. If he goes to fast he gets freaked out but every time he is in it it gets better and better.

Elijah's 7 Month Update

He is such a happy boy!!!!

Elijah is growing up so fast. He is such a wonderful addition to our family. He is such a smiley, happy, and content  boy.  He is starting to scoot around now, but he prefers to roll over and over to get where he is going. He is very independent and is happy doing his own thing but also loves it when you interact with him.
Elijah up on his knees in the crawl position!

Elijah is still working on sitting up. He would rather work on crawling then sitting up. Although he can and knows how to sit up it is not something he is really interested in right now.  He will sit up for me every now and then and I actually got a picture of it...

One of few pictures of Elijah sitting up!

Elijah is eating really well but he is still spitting up. We hope that the spitting up stops real soon for the sake of our carpet. His favorite food would have to be carrots. He trembles when you are feeding them to him.

There are a few toys that he favors one of which would have to be his little radio music player and we never leave home with out it. He loves his tags ball. He also loves monkeys. We have some toys that have monkeys on them and we have noticed that he is drawn to them.

We are so impressed with how loving and sweet his disposition is. We are excited to see his personality develop and cannot wait to those precious first words. We know God has many wonderful things in store for him.

Happiest Half Birthday to Our Tuffy Elijah!

Happy!

I am 6 months old!

We cannot believe that Elijah is already 6 months old! He got more shots and handled them like a champ. He now weighs 14lbs 2oz (3%). He is 23 1/4 in. (13%). Elijah is growing well from where he started. His growing curve is going up even though he is really small compared to others his age. Our Pediatrician is not concerned at all.

Elijah had his first cold this month. He had a really hard time breastfeeding because he could not breath out of his nose. He likes easting out of the bottle now and we are giving him milk that has been pumped more often than the breast.

He also went to the zoo for the first time. He had a hard time seeing any of the animals because he was stuck in the stroller the whole time. He did loved being outside although his little eyes are so sensitive to the bright sun.

He is such a sweet and content baby. Elijah has such a way for bringing peace to such chaotic situations. When things are going crazy and everyone is melting down, he remains clam and peaceful. He is definitely the calm in our storm. We love it when he looks into our eyes. It's like he's looking into our soul. We know God has many great things in store for Elijah!

These past 6 months have just flown by. We are looking forward to seeing him grow and interact with his siblings more. His first Easter, camping trips, first steps, first trip to Cali., first "real" word, and so much more.

Thank you God for this precious gift of our second son!!

Love this expression!!

Elijah is 5 months

Elijah is now eating lots of solid foods. He loves sweet potatoes, carrots, and squash. He is not so big on peas. He is still working on rolling from his back to his tummy. He gets more than half way and than rolls back onto his back. Still working on sitting up. He stands and can support his weight. He laughs and laughs at the silly things his brother and sister do. He has built in entertainment. It is cute to see all the siblings interacting with each other.

Elijah loves to talk and I love to listen to him. I wish I understood his little baby language. I cannot wait to hear him saying "mama" and "dada" with meaning.

Day at the Zoo!!

I took all three kids to the zoo! I met some girlfriends of mine from our church there. We had a great time. I know that the kids loved it. I cannot wait to go back. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun!!!

Elijah was not happy!

Rachel is 1 and a 1/2!

Rachel is already a year and a half! Where does the time go? We feel so blessed to have are little princess Keiki! She is talking in sentences now. She loves to be outside. She climbs the ladder and goes down the slide all by herself. She loves to be in the swing. She loves being girly and playing with her purse, wallet, mirror, comb, dress up outfits, and tea set. But she also loves playing with cars, and trains too. She loves the movie cars and can name a lot of the characters. She loves Thomas and Percy the tank engines. She loves getting her hair done but often pulls her hair accessories out. Her hair is long enough for pigtails now!!!

She loves dancing and has started singing. She loves to sing "Jesus loves me". She loves playing with her brother.

Love that their holding hands!

Rock wall climbing all by herself!

She can climb the rock wall all by herself. She is adventurous but also cautious at the same time. She is more girly and does wear her emotions on her sleeve. She really wants to please but cannot help herself when it comes to trash, toilet paper, and our DVD's.

She is always happy and laughing. She is such a joy to have and we thank God for our Keiki girl!

Yay, I did it!!!

Elijah's 4 Months Old

Elijah is doing well. We took him to his Pediatrician for his 4 month check up. He is growing and changing all the time. He now weighs 12lbs 12oz. He is still on the small end for babies born at the same time, but he's growing well for being born so early.

Elijah is so alert and aware of his surroundings. He loves watching his brother and sister play. He is working on rolling over from his back to his tummy. He does not like "tummy time" and rolls over from his tummy to his back right away when put on his tummy. He loves to grasp his toys and play with them. He also enjoys playing in the jumper. He can barley touch to floor with his feet. It is so cute to see. He is trying to sit up doing the tripod position. Elijah is now eating rice cereal. The first time he ate it he spit more out than he actually ate, but he will get the hang of eating solid foods real soon.

We are so happy that Elijah is in our lives. I know god placed him here in our family for a reason and I'm sure glad He did.
